you can easily import text out of a spreadsheet into a lookup.
Just select 'lookup table' 'new' and then 'text import' at the top right.
This opens the import window. First select if you want to import 8 or 16 bit values. Now you can prepare a spreadsheet with 2 columns. First should be the list of text display and the second the corresponding 8 or 16 bit value. Remember text displays between 1-6 characters and maximum 200 lines for a column.
Then just select the columns, copy and then paste into the text import window by cmd C and cmd V for Mac or ctrl C and ctrl V for windows.
Then IMPORT and close the text import window.
